The EFR 7163 is the highest power small-frame BorgWarner EFR turbocharger.  Flowing 60lb/min from a compact package, the 7163 is designed specifically for competitive racing use.  Used in twin-turbo configuration by all current Indycar Racing teams, BorgWarner's state-of-the-art ‘Mixed-Flow Gamma-Ti Turbine Wheel’ design allows for a remarkably fast spool and huge powerbands.  This turbo is wildy popular for a range of applications from Honda K series, Subaru EJ25 and it's a direct plug-n-play for Nissan SR20DET and other T25 based setups.  As a twin turbo it works great for 350Z/370Z, Nissan RB30, Ford EcoBoost 3.5L and Porsche.

Why We Love It:

This unique turbocharger has a turbine wheel unlike anything we've ever seen.  The 63mm "Mixed-Flow" turbine spools and responds remarkably well making this one of the most popular ball bearing small frame turbos we offer at Full Race.  Especially popular with high power twin-turbo applications.  The EFR 7163 is available with a variety of turbine housing options to suit different hardware.  The optional SX-E compressor cover is great for engines that want slightly earlier spool and a free horsepower bump.
