60mm Turbosmart GenV WG60 Power-Gate Wastegate

The Gen-V 60mm is Turbosmart’s largest external wastegate. With a massive 60mm flow path and high temperature resistance the Power-Gate 60 can stop boost creep for ridiculously high flowing setups.  We typically do not recommend a wastegate this big for most applications, but if stopping boost creep is the priority… this monster will do it.

APPLICATION: Suitable for extreme performance turbocharged engines with ample space to fit a giant wastegate. Suits 2.50” dump tube

SUPPLIED WITH: 7psi outer spring (fitted), 10 psi middle spring, inlet and outlet weld flanges and V-band clamps, valve seat and 2 x 1/8 NPT vacuum fittings.  Spring options available to customer specifications.




Do I need to use the liquid cooling ports?
No. It is purely an option for extreme applications where there is limited air flow around the wastegate.
What makes it so thermally advanced?
There are several features, some easily overlooked or hidden. Starting with the valve, there are advanced designed features that ensure thermal dissipation. Thermal transfer was reduced with the use of ceramic spacers either side of the vale guide and huge amount of CFD performed to ensure the most efficient movement of exhaust energy, which also equates to flow.
Can I rotate the top housing?
Yes. The modular design of the Gen-V Range of External Wastegates means you can rotate the actuator housing 360 degrees, for virtually unlimited reference hose routing options.
Will a Gen-V version fit where my 4th Generation Turbosmart Wastegate fit?
 Yes. We made sure the inlet and outlets fitting orientation matched the previous gates for that exact reason. Literally the only thing in common between the previous design and this one, is the mounting orientation.
How do I change the spring(s)?
You will need the locking collar tool as supplied in the box. You also need to observe the instructions and apply pressure to the top cap before you can remove the collar – This is part of the design & an important anti-vibration measure.
What size are the reference fittings?
Both the boost control reference ports and the (Optional) liquid cooling ports are 1/8NPT. We have a range of AN adapters and high temp push-lock fittings available in the Spates and Accessories Tab.
Turbosmart’s new wastegates are a direct fit upgrade to all 4th-generation Turbosmart wastegates and feature their unique collar-locking system, completely variable actuator cap and base, strap-type V-band clamps, liquid-cooling, 1/8″ NPT ports, and are provided with a range of springs.  Some models are also available in Motorsport and Gas-only versions for those requiring specific applications.

This external wastegate actuator allows for different combinations of spring pressures. All possible spring combinations are shown in the table below. The tuner can use a combinations of up to 3 springs to achieve the desired base boost pressure. To aid in the identification of these springs they are supplied color coded. If this color coding is not clear please use the dimensions in the following table to identify the spring.  The springs chosen should be rated to the lowest boost level desired.

  • Fitting a heavier wastegate actuator spring may cause a higher than expected increase in boost pressure.
  • Turbosmart recommends adjusting your boost controller back to its minimum setting and measuring the new minimum boost pressure achieved by the new spring, before increasing your boost pressure again.
  • Use of a turbocharger speed sensor is a good idea if you plan to run very high boost levels
