The Ford F-150 has a heritage that spans over 70 years. Since Ford released the pickup in 1948, it has proven one of the all-time best selling vehicles in America. The 12th Generation F-150 (2009-2014) received a mid-cycle refresh in 2011 that included the addition of a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine option. This engine produced 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft torque while providing a fuel conscious 16mpg city and 22mpg highway (RWD). This first generation EcoBoost engine relied on a pair of BorgWarner K03 turbochargers to deliver the 15psi boost pressure needed to reach these output levels.
